The study group of the study consisted of administrators, teachers working at a state school in Serik district of Antalya, students attending this school and their parents. The data collection tool of the study was obtained through individual interviews with a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher based on sub-problems. According to the results obtained from the study; It was determined that the students were happy to stay in the boarding house, that staying in the boarding house contributed to their social development, that it strengthened their communication with their teachers on duty, and that the most frequently expressed opinion regarding the change that being a boarding house student created in their lives was the expression of standing on their own feet. Other changes that being a boarding house student created in life were; being organized/disciplined, contributing to studying, and gaining responsibility.
