Abstract

The study, which was conducted in order to evaluate the director appointment regulation according to the managers, was carried out in a qualitative research method and case study design, and a total of 18 school administrators working in primary and secondary schools participated in this study. Easily accessible sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used to determine the participants of the study. In the collection of research data, a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher in accordance with the relevant literature and the aims of the research was used. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. According to the research results; Article 14 titled Education Management Certificate Program, which does not include "union representatives" with Article 12 of the directive on appointment of directors, and that this decision is perceived as a correct decision, it is seen as a wrong decision not to give certificate exemption to manager candidates who have graduate education, Annex-1 and The regulation in the Explanations section of the Appendix-2 Manager Evaluation Form is an appropriate decision regarding “the evaluation of the works and awards made in the last four years before the year the evaluation was made”, and it is wrong that the Certificate of Acknowledgment, Appreciation and Salary Award is not included in the awards section of the Manager Evaluation Form. and there has been no improvement and development in the process of selecting, appointing and placing school administrators from past to present.
