Abstract

One of the key elements in the educational process is the quality of interaction between student and teacher. The quality of this relationship directly affects the teacher's teaching efforts and the students' academic-social success. Therefore, teachers' responsibility to manage this relationship in a healthy way comes with their being adults and experts as individuals. Unwanted behaviors in the classroom are among the situations that students learn directly or indirectly by being affected by various factors. These undesirable behaviors may arise from the school, environment, family and personal characteristics of the student. The aim of the research is to determine what kind of undesirable behaviors preschool teachers encounter and how they deal with these behaviors. These studies identify undesirable behaviors that teachers frequently encounter in the classroom and examine how to deal with these behaviors.
Classroom management covers many different areas beyond the verbal interaction between student and teacher, such as determining the rules, motivating students, arranging the physical environment, and determining the teaching methods of the lesson. Students in all age groups react carefully to this multidimensional environment and shape their behavior accordingly. Therefore, teachers should carefully consider the effects and possible consequences of their behavior and practices and make decisions accordingly. The main goal of this research is to investigate the effects of preschool teachers' undesirable behaviors in the classroom on students' behaviors.
In order for educational institutions to successfully achieve their goals, it is very important to establish and maintain a suitable classroom and school order. However, some difficulties may arise in the implementation of this scheme. One of these is the bad behavior of students associated with teachers and the school itself. The purpose of this study is to determine to what extent students' and teachers' undesirable behavior is affected by specific teacher and school factors. The data of the research was obtained through surveys filled out by 1101 high school students and 381 teachers. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the research data, and the results show that student behavior is strongly related to certain teacher and school factors.
Key words: Classroom Management, Unwanted Student Behaviors, Coping Methods.
