Covıd-19 Salgınının Eğitim Üzerindeki Etkileri ve Çözüm Önerileri
Abstract
experiencing internet access problems could not offer equal learning opportunities to every student due to low student participation rates, despite teachers' efforts to integrate the course curriculum remotely. This situation has caused teachers to spend more time and effort. Parents who are completely unfamiliar with the process have been unable to provide support to their children and teachers due to lack of equipment, knowledge and motivation regarding the distance education system, especially problems arising from physical/technical infrastructure. At the end of the research, suggestions were made to eliminate these problems, to take the necessary measures to reduce the negative effects of the pandemic on education in schools where there is no internet access, and to increase the work done by the ministry, district and provincial national education directorates on this issue. As a result of detailed analysis of the numerical data received, findings were obtained that distance education is not as effective as face-to-face education. It has been determined that the physical, emotional and mental needs of students cannot be fully met, and it has also been observed that the psychological health of students and teachers is negatively affected due to social isolation. Additionally, there is evidence that teachers' workload has increased. Problems experienced during the distance education process, such as lack of security in technological infrastructure and internet access, insufficient parental support, lack of interest and motivation of students, and inadequate use of technological tools by teachers, reduce the effectiveness of distance education. Considering the results of the research, recommendations for research and practice have been developed. In this research, the effects of Covid-19 on health,

economy and especially education are discussed; Both short-term and long-term effects are discussed. One of the short-term effects of Covid-19 is the closure of educational institutions, this is a common situation. Long-term effects are the possibility of young people receiving education during this period experiencing injustice in employment and talent evaluation in the future. In the research, short-term solutions to the problems of Covid-19 on education include economic revival and the reopening of educational institutions. Long-term solutions include creating a support program against the pandemic and developing plans and policies to be prepared for future pandemics.
