Abstract

Ataol Behramoğlu is one of the important representatives of contemporary Turkish poetry. In his poems, he focused on themes such as women, nature, death and love. Even though he was one of the social realist artists after 1960, he also focused on individual subjects. He has a unique style and understanding of poetry. He dealt with more than one subject and genre and was influenced by more than one movement. He is an artist with a strong pen, who defies the years, and who has a large readership. The poem "There is Something I Learned from My Experiences" is one of the important works. It is aimed to make the poem effective and understandable by examining this poem and considering the theme in the poem. The main themes prevailing in the poem are; Hope is love of life, commitment to life. Within the framework of these themes, the poet ignored ordinariness and adopted a different, multi
layered line. Behramoglu aims to discuss life and its requirements from a realistic perspective and explain that life teaches lessons and is an opportunity that cannot be missed again. The freedom and quest in the poet's soul have enriched his product range that produces versatile intellectuals. Keywords: Life, Hope, Realist, Productive
